The hotly anticipated $265m TWA Hotel at JFK Airport opens next month.
The iconic TWA Flight Center at New York’s John F. Kennedy International Airport will be reopening its doors to the public for the first time in decades.
Due to launch on May 15, the highly anticipated TWA Hotel will have a 10,000-square-foot observation deck with views to the Jamaica Bay and one of JFK’s biggest runways.
The 63-foot-long pool has been designed after the infinity pool at Hôtel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes on the French Riviera.
“Our rooftop pool provides a JFK runway view that rivals an air traffic controller’s vantage point,” says Tyler Morse, CEO and managing partner of MCR and MORSE Development, the developer of the hotel project.
“There’s simply no better place for plane spotting, and enjoying a cocktail, in the world.”
Another anticipated feature of the hotel include a transformed former TWA aircraft that will be a cocktail bar adjacent to the building.
The 512-room hotel began taking reservations on February 14, with rooms starting at $249/night.
Non-guests can make reservations to use the pool and hang out at the bar.
Those of you planning to spend a night at the hotel will be pleased to hear that the building boasts soundproof windows.
